Ethiopia Guji Gigesa G1 Heirloom
Light Roast, Aroma Boost
Guji is one of the zones of the Oromia Region of Ethiopia and is named after a tribe of the Oromo people. Like Yirgacheffe, coffees from Guji area were previously categorized together with coffee from Sidamo. However, Guji coffees are quite distinct from either Yirgacheffe or Sidamo coffee.
This Guji is ranked as Grade 1 (G1) in Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX). At ECX, the exported Ethiopian coffee is sent to there for cupping according to profile then grade and mark for export. This lot in ECX gets G1 that is the highest grade and is limited supply.
This lot of Natural and Washed Guji is 1,500 – 2,000 meters above sea level. Different in processing, it brings out a different journey.
Ethiopia Guji Gigesa set brings you into a double Summer experience.
Natural Guji emits tropical fruit aroma, feels like walking through a fruitful farm. Suddenly, you can feel the wave of winey taste start from your tongue then fill up your whole nasal cavity. At the end of this Natural journey, it gives a soft honey raspberry tea like finish.
Enter the Washed Guji journey, you will first get a pleasant floral note and tea like mouth feel. Then, quickly receive a vigorous lemon peel taste and a long lasting honey aftertaste. Like the Limoncello.
